Jaringan Kearifan Tradisional Indonesia (JKTI), or the **Indonesian Traditional Wisdom Network (ITWN)**, is a national civil society network established in 1999 by organizations working with indigenous and local communities across Indonesia. JKTI promotes the recognition, protection, and revitalization of traditional knowledge, cultural values, biodiversity, and community-based natural resource management. JKTI works with indigenous and local communities to strengthen sustainable livelihoods based on forests, non-timber forest products (NTFPs), traditional agriculture, agroforestry, and local knowledge. Its work emphasizes community participation, fair benefit sharing, sustainable resource management, and stronger market opportunities for community-based products.
As a member of the Forest Harvest Association, JKTI contributes Indonesian experience in participatory approaches, community forestry, and NTFP value chains, including the development of **Rotan Lestari (ROLES)**, a Participatory Guarantee System for sustainable rattan. JKTI supports community producers in improving product credibility, sustainability, traceability, and market access while safeguarding forest ecosystems and traditional knowledge.
